The Pittsburgh Pirates roughed up Brandon Williamson and the Reds bullpen in an 8-3 victory on Tuesday night at Great American Ball Park, evening the series at one game apiece. The loss dropped the Reds to 3-2.

Williamson Struggles

Williamson couldn't match the standard set by Chase Burns the night before. The left-hander surrendered multiple runs as the Pirates' offense came alive after being shut out in the series opener. It was a tough outing that highlighted the inconsistency in the back end of the rotation.

Pirates Power Up

Pittsburgh's lineup, led by the always-dangerous Oneil Cruz, broke through in a big way after being blanked on Monday. The eight-run outburst was a reminder of the firepower in the Pirates' lineup when they get going.
